NBA DraftKings Value Plays 11/25/14

NBA DraftKings Value Plays 11/25/14

Point Guard - D.J. Augustine
DJ has shown he can put up some fantasy numbers all year and tonight he's finally going to get the chance to play some big minutes without Brandon Jennings.  He is also playing the Bucks, which think will be a competitive game.

Point Guard - Austin Rivers
Eric Gordon is out tonight, and while Rivers won't get the start I think he gets a pretty substantial boost in minutes.  This is a riskier pick than Augustine, but he'll be less owned in tournaments and slightly cheaper.

Shooting Guard - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
This is another guy I like due to the Jennings injury.  He is very cheap and if Augustine has an off night, look for this guy to pick up the scoring.

Small Forward - Omri Casspi
It's all about the injuries tonight, and Rudy Gay is a big one.  If you haven't watched any Kings games this year you probably don't know this guy.  I've been able to watch a few games and Casspi comes in every game and makes things happen.  He's a hustle guy that will get a chance at big minutes tonight, and I think he'll do a little bit of everything.

Power Forward - Nikola Mirotic
You can consider Mirotic since Gibson is still out, but only if you have to.  I think his price has caught up to him a little bit, and he played 28 minutes yesterday without being very effective.

Center - Timofey Mozgov
Javale McGee is out tonight and Hickson still appears to be on a minutes restriction, so Mozgov should see some extended minutes.  Don't expect him to put up as many as DeMarcus Cousins, but I do expect a double-double.

Side Note - Marreese Speights
I don't really know what to make of the Speights explosion as of late, so I'm going to wait and see if his production is sustainable.  Also I would rather spend more on this position tonight.

DraftKings & FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Picks 11/17/14

Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks

November 17th, 2014

Point Guard - Rajon Rondo
I'm targeting this game tonight because there should be a lot of points scored, and Vegas thinks it will be close.  Rondo is nearly averaging a triple-double this year and I think he gets one tonight.

Point Guard - Kyrie Irving
I'm going against what I usually do and picking Kyrie tonight, even though it may be a blow out. Both teams have awful defenses and if the game does remain close look for Kyrie to explode.  I would only use him in tournaments, because there is a chance his minutes are limited in a blow out.

Point Guard - Isaiah Thomas
Ok there are a lot of really good point guard options tonight, and Thomas is another.  I said before I liked the Suns vs Celtics game and Thomas is a cheaper option who could go off tonight.

Shooting Guard - Lance Stephenson
I like Lance because of the injuries to MKG and Gary Neal.  Rather than playing the bench player who fills in for an injured guy, I like to play the starter who will likely see more minutes.  I also like Lance because he should be playing in a close game and he's a stat sheet filler.

Shooting Guard - P.J. Hairston
Okay this is the bench player who will be filling in for Gary Neal and MKG.  He is dirt cheap, and while I don't think he'll score below 15 FPs, I don't see him going over 25.  If you need a cheap SG, consider PJ.

Shooting Guard - Eric Bledsoe
Bledsoe's had his ups and downs, but he does have a high ceiling if he is playing well.  I'm playing him tonight in at least one lineup because of the match up, but I wouldn't use him and Isaiah Thomas in the same lineup, because the Suns tend to ride the hot hand.

Small Forward - Mike Dunleavy
I'm going cheap at SF tonight because there aren't a lot of options.  I'm not crazy about LeBron tonight, because he's a little sick (missed shoot around today) and it could be a blow out.  Both of those together lead me to believe he see limited minutes tonight, and not worth the price.  With Dunleavy, the price is cheap and Rose is out.  He's been pretty solid so far and if he gets hot can put up 20+ points.

Small Forward - Jeff Green
Here's another Celtic for ya.  His price has dropped since he abysmal performances lately.  I'm buying low on Green tonight because I think he's a much better player then what he's been doing lately.

Power Forward - Anthony Davis
I like a lot of PFs tonight but Davis is obviously the safe play.  He is playing Portland who is pretty good defensively against his position, but Anthony Davis isn't your typical PF.  Aldridge is also still questionable so pay attention to that.  If he's out, Davis should dominate the boards.  I wouldn't expect 60 out of Davis tonight though, so if you do play him, make sure you can fill out the rest of your team.

Power Forward - Zach Randolph
Randolph is coming off a big game, and if Houston shoots it as bad as they did last night you can expect a lot of rebounds.  Houston doesn't have the presence of Terrence Jones to help Dwight out so I think Randolph can post some pretty good numbers.

Center - Joakim Noah
Noah has been off to a slow start but he's been picking it up lately.  Gasol is questionable but I think he'll play.  Even so, if Gasol's minutes are cut Noah will have a great opportunity to get more rebounds.

Value Plays of the Night

PG - Brian Roberts
He played really well in his last game, but that was mostly in garbage time.  However with Gary Neal out I think he gets a few more minutes tonight, and he could be a nice play.

SG - Gerald Henderson
Henderson is another guy who might see time due to Neal and MKG being out, and I gave you PJ Hairston already.  I wouldn't use more than one of these guys but I think one of them will put up a good performance.

SG - Gerald Green
He's a little more expensive but he is one of the cheaper guys who could break out for a 40+ FP game.  He's a risky pick though as he's scored in the single digits a few times.

SG - Victor Oladipo
He had a great first game back and I think he is priced a little low for what he's capable of.  He isn't dirt cheap but I'm putting him in the value picks because he's priced to cheap.  Also Aaron Gordon is hurt so I expect Oladipo to get steady minutes.

SF - I don't really like any value plays here.

PF - Nerlens Noel
His price is kind of blowing my mind.  He's coming off the bench in what will probably be a blow out, but I still think he can have a decent night.

C - Kelly Olynyk
He's been playing really well lately and he's got the best match up of the night.  It's also good to go cheap at Center because anyone of them can get a double double.

Bold Prediction of the Day
Joakim Noah has a triple-double

11/4/14 NBA Fantasy Injury News

Injury News and Value Plays Update

A lot of injury news has just come in and I thought I would try and tell you how it affects tonight's players.

Houston
Patrick Beverley is playing.  I picked Canaan as a value play earlier, he'll still see some minutes but not nearly as many as last night.

Terrance Jones - Out
Motiejunas is getting the start, and he should do okay, maybe even get extra minutes in a blow out.

OKC
Lance Thomas is getting the start.  He hasn't played well yet, but he'll continue to see big minutes.

Miami
It looks like Chris Anderson isn't playing, so I like Shawne Williams, whose been playing well and is really cheap.

Chicago
Joakim Noah - Out
This is good for Pau Gasol who has to handle a bigger workload.  Also Taj Gibson gets the start, and not to mention Vucevic doesn't have to deal with Noah down low.

Derek Rose - Out
Jimmy Butler looks good tonight.

This is all that is definitely confirmed.  I will update as I learn more.

DraftKings & Fanduel NBA Fantasy Picks 11/4/14

Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks

November 4th, 2014

Point Guard - Reggie Jackson
I like Reggie Jackson again tonight.  He his going to get a lot of minutes again tonight and will be putting up a lot of shots.  He also has the opportunity to pick up a bunch of assists.  The Thunder lost Andre Roberson for tonight, so they will be very limited with their scoring options.

Point Guard - Brandon Knight
I thought Knight's price would be higher but it is still pretty low, considering how well he's played.  I'm sticking with him at this price tonight.

Consider Donald Sloan

Shooting Guard - Lance Stephenson
He should see some extra minutes tonight without MKG.  I also like his ability to do multiple things well and he's always flirting with triple-doubles.

Shooting Guard - Gary Neal
Another Hornet who I like in the absence of MKG.  He won't get the start but I like him being the number one scoring option for the second team.

Shooting Guard - Dwyane Wade
This should be a close game and a fun one to watch.  Wade has been playing well this season and he's going up against James Harden whose not known for defense.  He's a little pricey on fanduel but I like him on DK.

Small Forward - Carmelo Anthony
His price has deflated on DraftKings and maybe tonight we see him perform more like last year.  However, even if he doesn't have a monster game, you can count on him to get you at least 35 FPs, and at his price, the risk is worth it.

Small Forward - Perry Jones
I like Jones again tonight.  He didn't play great last night because Reggie Jackson wouldn't give him the ball.  I think someone probably pointed this out to Jackson and I think Jones gets back on track.  Also remember the Thunder will have to give all their guys heavy minutes because of injuries, so don't worry about a blow out here.

Consider Jabari Parker

Power Forward - Nene Hilario
Hilario has been consistent in his first two games and his price is a bargain.  I'm taking him based on price and I also like his matchup against the Knicks.

Power Forward - Pau Gasol
Pau's another guy whose played really well so far, and his price hasn't been adjusted on DraftKings.  I think he puts up his standard stat line tonight and is a relatively safe play.

Consider Jordan Hill

Center - Roy Hibbert
I don't love this pick tonight since there are a lot of good center options, but I just can't fit the other guys in my lineup and I think Hibbert is as solid of a mid-tier guy as you'll get.  He also has a good matchup against the Bucks, who get blocked a lot.

Consider - Robin Lopez

Value Plays of the Night

PG - Isaiah Canaan
I was nervous Canaan would completely blow it last night, but actually finished pretty nicely.  It looks like he'll be starting again tonight and I think he can play better this time, especially if he stays out of foul trouble.

PG - Elfrid Payton
On DraftKings he's down to $3900.  His minutes seem to be back up and he had his best game yet in his last appearance.

SG - Gary Neal
Mentioned Above

SG - Iman Shumpert
Has consistently hit his value and could also break out for a big game.

PF - Channing Frye
His in the starting lineup tonight, and he should get 30+ minutes, which is always good for a value pick.

C - Steven Adams
Basically everyone for OKC will get solid minutes tonight, so Adams makes sense.  He hasn't really had a complete game yet, but the Thunder lost another guy, so maybe tonight they look to Adams for some points.

Bold Prediction of the Day
Jabari Parker scores 25+

DraftKings & Fanduel NBA Fantasy Picks 11/3/14

Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks

November 3rd, 2014

Point Guard - Reggie Jackson
I like Reggie Jackson tonight, since it looks like he'll be making his season debut.  He had some really big games last year and with Westbrook and Durant out for awhile, Reggie should get a lot of minutes. Keep an eye on the injury report because he's still listed as questionable.  If he doesn't play, consider Telfair.

Point Guard - Tony Wroten
I just like Wroten tonight because I think he is a safe bet to fill out the stat sheet.  He gets a lot of minutes and the offense runs through him.  This game might be a blow out, but even so, I don't think it affects his minutes too much.

Consider Isaiah Canaan & Deron Williams

Shooting Guard - Gordon Hayward
I like Gordon tonight because he is another one of those guys who fills out the stat sheet in all categories.  He is usually consistent and can always explode for a lot of fantasy points.  Also the Clippers haven't played that great this year, so I think the game could be close.

Shooting Guard - Arron Afflalo
Afflalo has gotten heavy minutes in each game this year, and he hasn't scored much, which makes him cheap.  I think Afflalo gets it going tonight, and he could have a big game.

Shooting Guard - Joe Johnson
Johnson is coming off a big game, and he is a streaky player, so look for him to come out firing tonight.  If he stays hot, you could be looking at a 30 point night for him.  OKC has been playing a little to good for how many injuries they have, and I think the Nets put up a lot of points tonight.

Small Forward - Hollis Thompson
There aren't too many value plays tonight, but I like this one.  He's been averaging right around 32 minutes per game this year and has consistently scored in the low 20's (fantasy points).  Nothing has changed with Sixers, so I expect around 25 FP tonight, which is good with me at his price.

Small Forward - Perry Jones
It's hard for me not take Jones in all my lineups tonight.  He is the primary scorer in OKC, and will get up a lot of shots tonight.  I expect him to be owned by a lot of players tonight, even if Reggie Jackson plays. There's not too many SF options tonight so if you wan't to spend more at this position I also like Parsons.

Power Forward - Terrance Jones
Dwight Howard is listed as questionable and if he doesn't play, Jones is a must start.  Sixers don't have much depth anywhere, especially big men, so I expect big things from Jones.

Power Forward - Anthony Davis
Davis is playing the Grizzlies, who live in the paint.  With Randolph and Gasol getting a lot of touches, I think Davis has an opportunity to get a lot of blocked shots.  I'm also avoiding Randolph and Gasol tonight for this same reason.

Consider Blake Griffin

Center - DeMarcus Cousins
Center is another weak position tonight.  I already mentioned I don't like Gasol going up against Davis, Howard is questionable, and the rest are inconsistent.  That being said, I think it's worth it spending on Cousins, who at the very least will get you 35+ fantasy points.

Consider - Tyson Chandler

Value Plays of the Night
I was asked to post some value guys and bench players who could see extra minutes tonight.  There's not too many tonight but there are some injuries to watch.

PG - Isaiah Canaan
Patrick Beverley tweaked a hamstring, and is listed as probable.  If Beverley is out tonight Canaan could get a lot of minutes. I will tweet Beverley's status when I find out for sure.

PG - Devin Harris
His been getting consistent minutes and you can expect around 20-25 fantasy points tonight.

SG - JJ Reddick
Jamal Crawford probably won't play again tonight, and those minutes go to Reddick.  While he hasn't shot well so far, the extra responsibility may get him going.

SF - Hollis Thompson
I already mentioned him above

PF - Nothing to see here.

C - Rudy Gobert (UTAH)
Proceed with extreme caution.  I put his team cause you probably haven't heard of him.  He's the backup center for the Jazz, and he's been taking Enes Kanter's minutes.  Not much of a scorer but he can rebound, and he might see a few extra minutes, considering the Jazz face the Clipper's big men.

Bold Prediction of the Day
Anthony Davis gets a triple-double.  23 Points - 14 Reb - 10 Blk

DraftKings & Fanduel NBA Fantasy Picks 10/31/14

Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks

October 31st, 2014

Point Guard - Derrick Rose
I'm sticking with Derrick Rose because I still think he's priced to low.  He had an okay performance in his first game, but it would have been a lot better if it wasn't a blow out.  I think against there's going to be a playoff atmosphere in tonight's game against the Cavs, which means a close game.  I think Rose and LeBron go at it tonight.

Point Guard - Brandon Knight
I really like the fact that Knight took the most shots for the Bucks and still dished out 13 assists.  I don't think he'll grab 8 rebounds again but he'll get the assists and I really like his scoring upside.

Consider Isaiah Thomas

Shooting Guard - Eric Bledsoe
This is a tough position tonight, as there aren't a lot of options.  I think Bledsoe is a safe pick tonight, in a good match up against the Spurs.  This should be a high scoring game and I expect Bledsoe to lead the suns in scoring.  Maybe he won't get thrown out of this game.

Shooting Guard - Kobe Bryant
I think Kobe scores a lot of points again tonight, but he hasn't done much else.  Consider only using one SG tonight on DraftKings, but if this game does end up close, it will because Kobe has a lot of points, like 40.  I would only use him in tournament play because it's risky at his price.

Consider - Rodney Stuckey

Small Forward - CJ Miles
This is my favorite value pick of the night.  Miles outplayed his value in his first game and didn't shoot great, but shoot he did.  He was clearly told before the game he had to score for the Pacers because he was getting shots up like crazy.  I think he shoots a lot again tonight, and hopefully more shots fall tonight.

Small Forward - LeBron James
Very high priced tonight but there's not a lot of other options.  I also think he has a great game tonight now that his nerves are calmed a little bit.  In this matchup against Chicago, I think we could see a huge game against LeBron.  After the loss last night, he definitely is going to look to score more.

Value Play - Khris Middleton

Power Forward - Luis Scola
Scola played really well in the first game, despite getting into foul trouble.  I wouldn't start him with Hibbert, but going with one or the other could pay off if one of them gets into foul trouble again.

Power Forward - Zach Randolph
He's always a fantasy monster and against a depleted Pacer lineup, he should continue to dominate.  Memphis will definitely be feeding it to their big men all game long.

Value Play - Nerlens Noel

Center - Roy Hibbert
I mentioned how the Grizzlies will be playing through their big men tonight, which could be good for Roy.  He'll have a lot of block opportunities with the majority of shots coming from the paint.  He also has a much bigger role on offense with the absence of every well known Pacer.

Center - DeMarcus Cousins
As always, I like Cousins.  He had an awful shooting game and still put up 20 and 11.  I think he has a monster game tonight.  He is also the reason I'm avoiding Aldridge.  Cousins gets people in foul trouble and that is the number 1 cause of disappointing fantasy performances in the NBA.

Consider - Marc Gasol

Fantasy Basketball Picks Oct 30

Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks

October 30th 2014

Point Guard - Elfrid Payton
A lot of people will be playing Westbrook and Paul tonight, so for tournaments I'm avoiding them.  I think those guys will put up good numbers, but Westbrook looked tired at the end of last nights game and it could mean a blow out.  Payton put up solid numbers and I expect that to continue, at least until Oladipo comes back.

Point Guard - DJ Augustine
It seems like Van Gundy prefers Augustine to Brandon Jennings, and Augustine played well, earning more minutes.  He comes in cheap today, so get on him while you can.  Also I think this will be a close game.

Consider - Chris Paul

Shooting Guard - Gordon Hayward
I really like Hayward tonight.  He struggled shooting last night but still had a good fantasy game.  I think he shoots much better tonight and still fills the stat sheet.

Shooting Guard - Monta Ellis
This is an okay pick for me.  I think he'll score but if Parsons has a better game, Monta might see less shots.  I'm only using one shooting guard on DraftKings and that's Hayward.

Value Play- Iman Shumpart
I know the Knicks got destroyed, but Shump was actually the only one being aggressive and I think he earned some minutes.  If the Knick can manage to keep this game a little bit close, Shumpart can put up an easy 20 FP.

Small Forward - Josh Smith
Pretty much the top scoring option for Detroit and also grabs rebounds.  I don't think you can go wrong here.

Small Forward - Paul Pierce
He had a nice first game with the Wizards and I think that will be his average line until Bradley Beal comes back.  He is somewhat cheap tonight, and with a limited number of games tonight, he is worth a shot.

Small Forward - Tobias Harris
Had a great first game and is still very affordable.  I think he scores a lot again because the Magic need him to and I think he grabs more rebounds this time, since Vucevic won't get 22 again.

Value Play Kyle Singler
It didn't quite work out last night because he got in early foul trouble, but he's still cheap and can knock down 3's.

Also consider Otto Porter Jr

Power Forward - Thad Young
His price is still deflated for his skill set, and he is seeing a lot of touches for the Twolves.  I think he scores 20+ points tonight.

Power Forward - Serge Ibaka
Had somewhat of a quite game last night, but I think he does more tonight.  Someone needs to step up besides Westbrook with Durant out, and Ibaka is the favorite.  I think he gets more scoring opportunities tonight while still getting a few blocked shots.

Center - Nikola Vucevic
We're going to stick with him after his great first game.  He's the Magic's best player and he's playing like it.  Another Double-Double tonight.  He's also slightly cheaper than Drummond, and more central to the offense.

Consider - Andre Drummond

Daily Fantasy Basketball October 29th Picks

Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks

October 29th 2014

Today we have a full slate of games, which means luck is less of a factor.  We can also avoid blowouts like the Hou vs LAL, which limited the starters playing time to the first three quarters.  If you want to try and avoid these games, check the vegas over under lines.  You can check these just by googling them but if you are new to odds making, then click this Yahoo link.  They have the over/unders and also a brief explanation at the bottom.

With nine games tonight, there are going to be multiple ways to win so pay attention to the value plays and rookies tonight.  The Pacers are a team you should be paying attention tonight for value plays.  They have four key guys ruled out in George Hill, CJ Watson, David West and Paul George.  They would probably get blown out, however they're playing the Sixers.  More on that with my picks.

Point Guard - Derrick Rose
Just look at that DraftKings price! $7400! This is craziness, and yes, might be a blowout but the Knicks went 2-2 against the Bulls last year and 3 of those games were close.  Rose appears as healthy as ever, and has really turned it on in the preseason.  The Bulls need scoring, and Rose is the best option.  He'll also pick up some assists playing point, and some steals against the Knicks who can get sloppy.

Point Guard - John Wall
I think John Wall meets his price tag tonight and score 50+ fantasy points.  He's been more aggressive offensively during the preseason, and he will dominate the ball for the Wizards.  I also think it will be a close game with the Heat, so I predict a lot of minutes.

Consider - Tony Wroten (Value Play)

Shooting Guard - Eric Bledsoe
Be careful with this one, as the game might be another blow out.  That being said, the Lakers defense is awful, and hopefully they can keep it close enough for Bledsoe to get his.

Shooting Guard - DeMar DeRozan
Safe play tonight at shooting guard.  I think he comes close to meeting his value tonight and I don't feel comfortable going cheap at this position.

Consider - Tim Hardaway Jr or Kevin Martin (Value Play)

Small Forward - Carmelo Anthony
I think Anthony gets close to 60 FP tonight.  He is going to take nearly all available shots and also grab a lot of rebounds.  Hopefully he can put up a double-double.  The Bulls also lack a defender for Anthony.  I really don't know who can guard him on the Bulls.  Noah, Dunleavy, or Gasol?  My bet is on Noah, but regardless he presents a matchup nightmare.

Small Forward - Chris Copeland (Fanduel)
Copeland is SF on Fanduel and PF on DraftKings, the opposite of Melo, so if need be you can swap those two.  Copeland gets the start tonight against the awful Sixers, but the Pacers will be awful too, so it makes for a good game.  Copeland's been draining threes in the preseason and with all the injuries to the Pacers, he should get minutes.  He is dirt cheap, which you need for the more pricey options.

Strongly consider Kyle Singler
He is extremely cheap - the minimum on DK.  He's in the starting lineup and gets a decent amount of touches.  He won't explode but he will exceed his price tag.

Power Forward - Luis Scola
Another Pacer benefiting from injuries.  David West is out and he is their primary rebounder.  I expect a double-double from Scola if he can get to 10 points.

Power Forward - Jared Sullinger
Absolute rebounding machine.  He's also going to have to score some because the Celtics lack any real scoring options.

Consider - Ed Davis or Nerlens Noel

Center - Mason Plumlee
I like Plumlee as a cheaper Center option tonight.  I think he scores around 18 and at least 12 rebounds. If he can get some blocks thrown in, he will exceed his value.

Center - DeMarcus Cousins
I think Cousins is the top fantasy player tonight, along with Carmelo.  Unless he gets into foul trouble, Cousins will have no problem throwing up huge numbers.  The Warriors shoot a bunch of 3's, which mean more rebounds, and without David Lee down low, they lack someone to challenge Cuz.  I do think there are a lot of good center options tonight, so going cheap is an option.

Consider - Jordan Hill or Roy Hibbert

I understand you won't be able to fit all these picks into your lineup but I have projected the fantasy points for the majority of guys tonight, so send me a tweet if you want to know a player's projected score.

Daily Fantasy Basketball October 28th Picks

October 28th Picks

The NBA season kicks off the tonight with 3 games, so there are a limited amount of players to choose from.  I actually like this and usually make multiple lineups and play tournaments on short slates.  Since it's the first games we don't have much data, so I'm going to be looking at match ups and minutes expected.  You don't get fantasy points on the bench.  Since it is only 3 games today we have to spend on some big names, which means we will need to find some value plays.  Value plays are what wins tournaments, so focus on these guys.

Point Guard - Jeremy Lin
I'm going cheap with my point guards tonight because I think the cheap guys will put up similar numbers as the more expensive guys.  I like Lin because he's cheap on Fanduel, and I think he'll have to score some for this depleted Lakers team.  Tony Parker will probably score more fantasy points, so if you want to spend at PG go with him.

Point Guard - Elfrid Payton
It really pains me to pick a rookie that hasn't played a regular season game yet, but he is cheap and he's going to get a lot minutes regardless of the score.  I hope he can score better than he has in the preseason, but he should rack up some assists and steals.

Consider - Tony Parker

Shooting Guard - James Harden
Most expensive player on DraftKings and 2nd most expensive on Fanduel, but well worth it.  With the short slate of games tonight you just can't afford not to pick Harden.  He's going to shoot a lot and even on a bad night he gets to the line more than anyone.

Shooting Guard - Kobe Bryant
More games down the road we might worry about how Kobe's body handles playing heavy minutes, but in the season opener I expect him to be ready to go.  The Lakers already have a bunch of injuries and Kobe might put up 30 shots tonight.  It also looks like Ronnie Price won't play tonight, so Kobe may see some PG action as well.  I see at least 6 assists if Price is out.

I think shooting guard is the place to spend tonight, as I just don't see great alternatives.  New Orleans has so much depth, that I'm hesitant to use Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon.  However consider Evans for a tournament play as he could mess around and get a triple double.

Small Forward - Wesley Johnson
This guy has great upside with Laker depth situation.  He and Kobe will be taking the bulk of the shots and he is cheap on most sites.  He's also good to get some defensive stats as well.

Small Forward - Kostas Papanikolaou
This is my value play of the day so I can fit my expensive guys in.  He's seen heavy minutes in the preseason so far, and even though he hasn't shot great, he has grabbed rebounds and gotten a few assists.  He'll be out there with the second team, so he should get some scoring chances as well, and this game could be a blow, which will get him even more minutes.  Risky pick, but I think he gets some points.

Power Forward - Jordan Hill (DraftKings)
I am pleasantly surprised to see Jordan Hill available at PF on DraftKings.  He is cheap and has huge rebounding potential.  He probably won't score too much against Dwight but the Lakers don't have any depth at the big man position, so he will see a lot of minutes.

Power Forward - Tim Duncan
The old man seems like he will continue to put up consistent stats when he's out there and with Splitter and Leonard out tonight, I expect at least 12 rebounds and a few extra minutes.

Power Forward - Anthony Davis
This is for Fanduel only for me, because I can't afford him on DraftKings.  Like Harden, he is pretty much guaranteed to do lots of good things, and if you can afford him you can't go wrong.

Strongly Consider - Terrance Jones and Boris Diaw

Center - Dwight Howard
There will an abundance of rebounds against the Lakers tonight, as I don't expect much of a paint presence from them.  I think Dwight has a huge game as long as it doesn't get out of hand too early.  Expect an easy double double from this guy.

Center - Jordan Hill (Fanduel)
On Fanduel, you're sacrificing Dwight for Anthony Davis.  Either way, Jordan Hill is cheap and I want him in my line up tonight.
